An encyclopedia of eggs, toast, and coffee
This research book trilogy began with a single meal of eggs on toast with coffee. The meal was significant to me so I used the format of eggs, toast, coffee to organize and inspire the book and let the idea of breakfast as a moment of togetherness, to drive the content, design and feel of the books. The articles were sourced from the internet, in addition to data I collected and hand drawn illustrations. I wanted to make a book series that would be fun and easy to read while eating breakfast, full of items that were shareable and easily digestible but maybe with some unexpected emotional nuggets as well.
